I-saw...

Evidently this is becoming something I am increasingly more intrigued by. Environmental subtlety at the expense of function, and I'm not just talking aesthetically.

Twee

I discovered this small haven along my journey to higher lands. If you wish to write a novel, & before you joke I know a good few who strive to fulfil that very goal... Do so in a retreat of this calibre, it will only benefit you. It may represent the ideal, in terms of being polar oppositional to personal issues I hold these days, but let's face it, we all wish we could escape it all at some point or another to the land of quaint. Perhaps you hate the cliché, perhaps you despise the quintessential British image, but in your heart you know you'd relish in owning your own miniature Castle on an estate that is void of annoyance.

Atlantis

Do not ask me what I was doing here, the reason is as ambiguous as the subject matter. Perhaps that's why I was was lucky enough to see it.

Isn't it beautiful...

Wildlife at the Mansion.

This week marks the official return of both myself and my Goldsmiths routines, to the Motley Mansion. I sharnt harp on about all I have planned for this coming year's hive of activity that is my final year projects (but do expect it soon of course) however, I have now returned from the depths of summer retail which means the return of persistent photographic blogging from this point onward!

The photography I really care about and wish to showcase is obviously portraiture but as is usually the case, my mind wanders into taking shots of anything I find vaguely amusing or pretty. Having said that, you can forgive me for my 'wildlife' photography, if anything, I am going to relate these shots to my ever building portraiture of our non-human residents. For this post then, I have chosen a couple of photos that stood out in my iPhoto, & include the creatures I apparently live with....

Awww arn't they cute, why does my grumpy housemate, have to bash them to a pulp with frying pans? Don't fret though children, luckily he wasn't in when we rescued this pair...

Idiot

So there I was grilling some mean bangers on the BBQ when I randomly turned to notice this absurd sight. Either it's idea of a safe habitat is warped or it's a 'pigeon on the edge', thrill-seeking... A Sky dish is an appalling choice of home, at best.

The 'Sports' Car.

My dear old Grandmother decided to take it upon herself to buy the family a sunday run around. Lovingly named the 'Sports' car (so so flawed), much to my fathers delight she chose a more classic style motor, much to my disappointment as well, of course. It's very loud, produces choking fumes and is absurdly uncomfortable. That said, they don't make cars as pretty these days & it certainly serves well as a symbol of middle class tradition sitting on our drive. A stark contrast to our more modern, vacuous euro-boxes.
