So admittedly this idea is obscenely unoriginal but I had a stab at it myself by smashing up the shutter speeds and turning my speedlite to maximum output, all in order to achieve the right combination to freeze flowing water. With a few warm tone effects and a play with contrast the results were satisfyingly dramatic...
